I love being a pirate

So far out of all the tradewind games I have played this one is my favorite. It keeps me busy running tasks and making money. It has more cities to visit. Of course once I have beaten the game then I have to move on to a new version of tradewinds as it becomes redundant to play.
A fitting sequel

*Compatibility to Windows 7 note*--This game worked flawlessly for me on the Windows 7 platform. I know this is often an issue for some of Amazon's games so want to share right away that this one worked for me.

If you enjoy the Tradewinds series of games then Tradewinds Legends is certainly an installment that I would recommend trying. As in the other installments there is plenty of traveling and trading to do in the story mode. This particular title is set in the Middle East, so it has a mythological and magical flair. The fleet battles offer some strategy choices to help keep things interesting but are really nothing unique compared to other versions.

There are five characters to choose from, four of which are available right away and one that you can use once you win the game a first time. You can even create a character of your own the second time around.

I didn't give this sequel 5-stars simply because it lacks a bit in replayability and lacks any major advances over the previous versions of the game. All-in-all though, this kept me entertained.

A fun Tradewinds

I vastly enjoy games where you trade resources - buy low! sell high! - and accomplish side quests. The Tradewinds series is great for that!

Part of the fun of these games is the sense of humor they have when writing the storyline portions of the game. Of course, sometimes that makes some of the side quests feel entirely pointless rather than "amusingly pointless", but if you're buying the game entirely for the storyline, you're missing the point of the game itself!

The artwork is good to excellent, which is a good thing as you're going to spend a lot of time looking at most of these graphics.

As fun as creating your own character is, I wish the "engine" for doing so were better. It felt like I spent a lot of time looking through all the available portraits because of how they were sorted. At least your 'new' character had something of their own storyline, meaning that there was some re-playability there the game might not have otherwise had.
