Thoroughly enjoyed it | | Review Date: September 4, 2009 | | Reviewer: I. Peters, Dallas, TX USA | This is the third installment of the Dream Chronicles series and just as much fun as the first two. The storyline is by and large the same as in the first two episodes - you are a mortal, married to a fairy. Your child has disappeared and you must find her. In order to do so, there are many puzzles and challenges to be solved. The graphics are truly stunning but the biggest reason I love the Dream Chronicles is the variety of challenges and that they are all tied to the story. There are objects to find and then these objects must be used in certain ways to repair things, make them work or make new things in order to advance through the game. One never feels like the puzzle/challenge has no relevance to the game, as I find is often the case with these Hidden Objects games which I personally think are painfully boring and repetitive. The challenges are not too difficult, just right for someone like me who does not want to spend days to figure out the logic of the game's programmer. With a bit of skill the game can easily be finished in an afternoon, so it is perfect for casual gaming. Whether it is looking through a telescope and finding a certain star constellation, repeating a musical sequence, navigating a maze, or brewing a magic potion after solving a word game to get the last secret ingredient that is needed, I had a great time playing this. Once finished, one can enter one's name into the global scores and compare oneself to other players worldwide. Repeating the game helps up the score. The good thing is that things slightly change when you play it a second time so it still remains somewhat interesting even though the puzzles remain the same. I just wish there were a fourth sequel... :-) |
Great game and well worth the $ | | Review Date: April 6, 2010 | | Reviewer: L. K. Petree, Lemon Springs, NC | | It's important to rate these games b/c that's what I look for when making a purchase. This game provides tons of fun and makes you work your brain. |
Best of the three parts | | Review Date: September 9, 2009 | | Reviewer: J. Rivers, USA | | This is the best of the three part game. Graphics were amazing and puzzles were challenging. It was also a pretty good game so last quite awhile. |
Beautiful Graphics....nice game | | Review Date: March 21, 2010 | | Reviewer: Lucy Fresina, Marion, North Carolina | I played all three of the Dream Chronicles and this one was my favorite. The graphics are simply beautiful and the music is nice also. The maze in this game was not as difficult as the one in Dream Chronicles 2, but it made me really dizzy. As far as overall difficulty with the puzzles...it is not hard at all. The ending was a bit abrupt, but I find that to be true of most of these types of games.

One of the best puzzle/hidden object games I have ever played | | Review Date: April 22, 2010 | | Reviewer: Carter's Mom, Washington, DC | | This is the game that got me hooked on the hidden object/puzzle genre. There are three games in this series and you can play them in any order. The games takes place over multiple chapters. In each chapter there are several scenes that combine finding hidden objects, using two or more objects in combination to make something else work, and solving mini-puzzles. The graphics are beautiful and the story is intriguing but not overly verbose. At times you will be required to leave one chapter and return to another for another hidden clue. The game play is interesting, it can be tricky at times, but the puzzles are solvable without having to resort to internet cheats almost all of the time. If you like this game, I would also recommend Adventure Chronicles and Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases. I definitely recommend all the games in the Dream Chronicles series. I would say that this game is about 1/2 hidden object and 1/2 puzzles. |
